Professional card crease removal in Australia. Honest assessment of soft surface creases versus hard folds, crease reduction pricing and how graders treat creases.
card crease removal Australia
A crease is compressed or broken card fibres, and that physical fact sets the limit on what any bench can do. Soft surface creases that only dent the fibres often reduce well; hard folds that have cracked the stock, lifted ink or broken the surface may only partially improve, and some are permanent. Crease removal is really crease reduction, and every card is assessed before a figure is quoted.
Photo assessment
Send photos first, build a portal submission, then post the card only when the scope makes sense. Every creased card is assessed for how much the crease can realistically be reduced, the grading risk and whether the value justifies treatment.
Why CardRevive
Creases vary so much from card to card that crease work is always quoted rather than booked sight unseen. Unlike the flat A$20 corner correction add-on, crease reduction is listed at A$200 with a quote required after assessment. The base figures below come from the restoration price list.
Per-card inspection fee before any crease work is confirmed.
Specialty repair listed at A$200 with a quote required, because creases vary so much from card to card. Sits on top of the base tier only when the card needs it.
Standard restoration, A$25 per card minimum, quoted after assessment. Grading upgrade is typically 1-3 points.
Services
Crease reduction softens and reduces the appearance of bends, folds and pressure damage. This is a service-level description, not a repair guide, and the assessment always says which work is worth doing before anything is approved.
Compressed fibres and light pressure bends often reduce well, improving how the crease reads under angled light.
Folds that have cracked the stock, broken the surface or lifted ink may be reduced rather than removed. Improvement is never guaranteed, and the card will not return to unbroken stock.
Graders count a crease as a condition defect and make the grading call themselves. Any reduction is technically alteration, and no grade is ever guaranteed.
Some creases are permanent. Deep folds with missing material, torn stock or ink loss may not improve at all, and those cards are declined at the A$10 inspection stage rather than worked on.
Before and after

Process
Send front, back and angled-light photos through the portal or WhatsApp so we can gauge whether the crease is soft or a hard fold.
Once received, the card is checked under light and magnification to judge how much of the crease can realistically be reduced, then quoted.
Approved crease reduction is completed at the bench and recorded with before-and-after photos on the submission record, with grading options attached.
Not fully. A crease is compressed or broken fibres, so what we do is crease reduction rather than removal. Soft surface creases that have only dented the fibres often reduce well. Hard folds that have cracked the stock or lifted ink may only partially improve, and deep creases with missing material can remain permanent. Cards that cannot be improved are declined at the inspection stage rather than worked on.
Crease reduction is listed at A$200 with a quote required, because creases vary so much from card to card. It sits on top of the standard restoration tier, which is 5% of card value with a minimum of A$25 per card, and is added only when the card genuinely needs that work. An A$10 inspection fee applies per card.
It can be. Graders inspect under strong light and count a crease as a condition defect, so a reduced crease may still be detected. Any restoration work is technically alteration, and PSA, BGS, PCG, ACE and CGC make their own grading and alteration calls on every card. We never guarantee a grade.
