Card Revive vs other restorers
What sets us apart.
Collectors should compare restoration providers carefully. The Card Revive column states our published process; the other column lists questions worth asking because policies and service models vary by provider.
Ask any provider how they assess card-specific risks, obtain approval and document results before choosing a service.
Each card is physically assessed, with the proposed service, material risks and price presented for approval.
Ask whether a higher tier changes turnaround only, or also changes the attention and service a card receives.
Standard, Express and Priority differ in turnaround. Not in the quality of the work.
Ask which grading companies are supported, who handles each transit stage and whether another middleman is involved.
PSA, BGS, PCG, ACE and CGC. You pick the company, we handle the submission.
Ask how service concerns are assessed and what remedy process applies after a card leaves the provider.
If an eligible service issue arises, contact Card Revive so we can assess re-performance or another appropriate remedy.
Ask what is charged when assessment finds that no restoration work is needed.
If restoration is unnecessary, you skip the tier fee and can grade where requested or have the card returned untreated.
Ask which cards or conditions the provider declines, and why.
Counterfeits, repainted cards, severe water damage past structural recovery.
Ask whether intake photographs and a per-card treatment record are retained.
Every card on intake. Baseline is unambiguous before any treatment begins.
Ask how alteration and detection risk are explained. No restorer controls a grading-company decision.
Grading houses set their own criteria for what they flag. That call is always theirs.
Ask whether grade outcomes, grading acceptance or insurance are being described as guarantees.
Restoration has inherent risks. We explain material card-specific risks, seek approval, and remain responsible for the care the law requires.
Compare minimums, inspection fees, add-ons, shipping and whether quoted amounts include GST.
Specialty repairs as flat fees. The estimator returns a quote in seconds.
Ask whether per-card stages, photographs, messages and records are available in one place.
Private portal with stage tracking, QR intake, photos, messages, AI grade reports and privacy-safe share controls.
Some providers are mail-in only. Confirm the operating address, transit process and return arrangements.
